Refunds & financial
Complete refunds will be given if a class, program or trip is cancelled by RWB Parks & Recreation. Refunds will be given if a request to cancel the registration is received prior to the program deadline date. The service fee and all shirt or other pre-purchased items will be deducted. Partial refunds or prorated in-house credits will be considered if requests are received after a program start date. Each case is reviewed. Note: a $3.00 service fee per program will apply to all refunds. Registration cancellation requests must be received 3 days prior for one-day classes for a refund to be considered.
Resident & non-resident
A resident is defined as any person living within Bruce Township, Washington Township, the Village of Romeo, or the Romeo Community School District. Registrants and/or participants residing outside of these areas are defined as non-resident and will be charged an additional amount determined by each class's policy.
Accepted payments & financial assistance
Cash, check & credit card accepted - Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express. Financial assistance: call for information & paperwork. If the criteria are met, a child is eligible to receive $50 toward a program per season.
Travel policies
Travel is non-refundable, unless cancelled through RWB Parks & Recreation or trip insurance is purchased. In some instances, within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time, you may be able to find a replacement person for your ticket (approval required). Travelers for day and extended trips must arrive at least 20 minutes before departure to check in. An adult must accompany travelers under 18 years of age. People requiring assistance must travel with a caregiver or companion. Travelers must submit name, address, phone number, birthdate, emergency contact & email at the time of registration.
Weather policy
If Romeo Community Schools are closed due to inclement weather, all Parks & Rec programs held in school facilities only will be cancelled. Fitness and other classes/programs will run as scheduled unless you are contacted. Registered participants will be notified by text, phone, and/or email in the event of a cancellation. Programs canceled outside of office hours will be listed under Canceled Class Updates on our phone system: 586.752.6543 Ext 6.
Photo release policy
RWB Parks & Recreation may take pictures at our events or during programs. Photographs may be used for promotional purposes - online and/or in print form. Additional department policies are available in the Document Center.
